He who is generous
will be blessed, for he gives some of his food to the poor (Proverbs 22:9)
As God's children care for others, God cares for them. We
are blessed in many different ways as we care for others. Many verses in
Proverbs encourage generosity (Proverbs 11:24; 28:27; 29:7, 14). God loves a
cheerful giver (2 Cor. 9:7), and Jesus said, "It is more blessed to give
than to receive," (Acts 20:35) for in the very "act" of giving
you are blessed!
