A book my wife Margaret and I have read several times and been greatly
helped in international Christlike relationships is the excellent book
on culture, Foreign to Familiar (A Guide to Understanding Hot-and
Cold-Climate Cultures) by Sarah A. Lanier, McDougal Publishers.
This is an easy to read, very interesting book of only 128 pages. It
would be the one book required to read by church groups or short-term
mission teams traveling overseas and also would be excellent and
extremely helpful for missionaries, pastors, church mission committees,
and leaders to read yearly.
It mainly deals with showing courteousness in all cultures which opens the door for the gospel!
