One of the descriptions of love in 1 Corinthians 13 is “…
love does not act unbecomely(verse 5)” In other words, love is not rude.
Have you noticed in the late afternoon that people seem to
get a little edgy? They are tired after
a hard day of work, frustrated, and want to get home. They are hungry, looking
forward to a relaxing evening, and are possibly grumpy. In line at the store,
or in traffic, many are very rude.
As Christians we have no excuse. We should trust the Lord to give us the grace
and mercy to follow His commands in Scripture.
One we especially need these days is showing kindness, compassion,
graciousness, and never being rude.
So, dear friend, when you seem to be rude, get frustrated, grumpy,
tired, then trust God to use you for His glory to reach out to others in
kindness, compassion, never in rudeness, and this will open the door to share
the glorious gospel of salvation by grace in faith alone!
